RING*CON 2012

it was Ringcon time again. It’s Monday, the most depressing Monday of all Mondays, the one after Ringcon.

Once again it was an amazing time for me with encounters and many emotional moments.

I arrived on Friday and my first photoshoot was with Joe Dempsie. It was his first convention so he was quite shy. But a really sweet boy. I’m always so nervous, especially for my first photo shoot, so it was great that he was nervous too

I made other photos on Friday, in fact I made loads of them this year

With the lovely and very thin Kristin Bauer, with Billy Boyd, Jason Momoa (huge ! ), Sean Astin, Finn Jones and then the absolute Highlight Craig Horner and Craig Parker.

Craig Horner is just … wow !   Sooooo nice and very very very handsome ! He pulled me real close to him for the picture. I fell slightly in love with this man ! If he asks, I will marry him

He just smiled and was in such a good and friendly mood all weekend (wasn’t the case with everyone) …

Craig Parker is something like an institution at RingCon, as he’s there almost every year.

But somehow I never managed to get a photo with him. So this year this was a priority duty

Craig is just awesome. When I got to him he took my hand and asked, with that disarming smile of his, for my name and then said « ok let’s cuddle up ! » … melting … these are these tiny unforgettable moments which make these encounters so special

I got a big hug from him, he cuddles you in an awesome way (great loss for the female world this man

Then there were also some panels on Friday and of course the Opening Ceremony.

We had Mark Ferguson again as Master of Ceremonies and Lori Dungey as Mini-Mark, sort of a clone of Mark and second in command. These two are just too funny !! Lori Dungey is one of the funniest persons ever.

So as I had most of my photoshoots on Friday, I had time to attend the panels on Saturday.

I can’t relate you all of them, even if the temptation is huge haha … but no one would read it.

So here are just some highlight moments.

Daniel Gillies …. Aaaaaaaah …….. so sexy, even on Sunday when he was still in the same clothes as he was on Friday, because his luggage had got lost.

You can’t imagin how sexy he looks in real, a TV screen doesn’t give him credit at all.

By the way he got an e-mail that same morning from Nina Dobrev, which she began with « Hi Fucker ! »

His comment : « when the hell did I become a Fucker ? »

Kristin Bauer

Really a very classy woman and very beautiful.

She told us a bit about her shooting as Maleficent in Once Upon a Time and of course some background stories from True Blood.

In True Blood there’s a scene where you see her and in front of her is Eric … naked … and you see him from behind. So obviously she saw him in all his magnificence. She was asked if he looked as good in front then from behind. She said YES !

Jason Momoa

Jason made a massive impression on me LOL He’s just so huge, but has this cutest of all smiles. He was drinking a lot of beer. We met him at the party on Saturday evening, while he was trying hard to get drunk, which apparently is not that easy when you are that tall and broad.

Billy Boyd and Sean Astin

Now this is till now one of my most favorite panels EVER ! We had amazing moments and both of them got a lot of love from the whole audience. You could literally feel the love in the air (this sounds sappy I know, but it’s just how it felt)

They both were so nice and funny. Both read passages from the Lord of Rings book.

The most emotional moment was when Billy was asked if he could sing the Pippin song for us. He said he normally refuses this at conventions, he never sang it before. But he would do it sitting next to Sean

He then sat on the massive Iron Throne, which was on stage, cuddled up with Sean and sang this song … There was nothing to be heard in the hall, while most of the time you always hear people chatting and move. It was really really touching !   It was THE RingCon 2012 moment.

The Kiwis

Mark Ferguson, Lori Dungey, Craig Parker and Thomas Robins did the Kiwi panel together with lots of improvisation, like Mark and Craig playing a young couple in love riding their car, then hitting a vampire cow (Lori Dungey) and Superman (Thomas) coming to their rescue.

This must sound incredibly stupid, but there on stage it was incredibly hilarious.

Many people complain that this trio of Mark, Lorie and Craig gets invited to each and every RC BUT !! they are just absolutely funny. I laughed so hard.

Craig Horner and Craig Parker

Both had a Legend of the Seeker panel together. They did role plays, where Horner played Darken Rahl and Parker played Richard Cypher, they told us how the Mord Sith actresses didn’t drink before the shoot because it took an hour to get them out of their dress to pee … a very funny and entertaining panel.

Also did Craig Parker describe the Mord Sith’s Agiel as « 80 shades of Grey »

The Game of Thrones guys

They had a panel together and also some single panels.

Iain Glen is a gentleman, very interesting to talk to, so well-manered and friendly.

Finn Jones (who plays Loras Tyrell) is totally awesome and quite crazy. He wore Flip-Flops all weekend and had painted toe-nails. The others constantly made fun of him because of that. He’s very entertaining.

Miltos Yerolemou

At first I was not so much excited when he was announced as a guest. I love his character in the series, but like Finn he does not have that big a role.

I was so surprised by him, he was one of my favorite guests, really nice and entertaining.

He told us a bit about his casting for the role of Syrio. In fact he took a bamboo stick from one of his plants to the casting to do the fighting impro. He got the role and his plant died.

Then Natalia Tena, the only disappointment for me of this weekend.

I met her twice over the past years and always liked her in her crazy way. This time she was really weird (not in a nice way). She was asked if she could sing a song from her band and she’s like NO WAY in a very hash manner. There were other things about her manners, her looks and hygiene, that I don’t want to spread here  (just to say, you’d not wanted to come too close to her)

The autograph session, another highlight with memorable moments.

Sean Astin told me about his misadventures in Luxembourg 20 years ago. Craig Horner gave me a big smile, then suddenly touched me and took my necklace in his hand saying « wow I love your necklace, I love skulls»

I chatted with Thomas Robins about my Deaghol collage I had made. He liked it a lot YAY !

I had one of the funniest moments with Daniel Gillies

And then the closing ceremony emotional as always !

That was it! Cheers for the few of you who read all my babbling :thanx:

Hope you enjoyed it ^_^
